# IXO Expert Reviews: developer integration kit

Start with the [developer integration brief](technical-brief.md). It explains what IXO supplies and how you can optionally connect specialist feedback to your own tests, coding agent and release workflow.

Use the review package format, sample data and workflow templates to connect expert feedback to your development process. Configure your integration with the connection details and supported versions supplied at onboarding.

## Choose your starting point

- **Review only:** use the report and make changes in your normal workflow. No integration is needed.
- **Regression tests:** map approved findings into your harness and retain the evidence links.
- **Automated improvement:** add an isolated proposer, fixed evaluator and bounded controller. Return the comparison for specialist follow-up before your release approval.

## Included files

| File | Purpose |
|---|---|
| [technical-brief.md](technical-brief.md) | External developer guide: responsibilities, package import, test mapping, optional automation and follow-up |
| [review-package.schema.json](review-package.schema.json) | Review manifest format |
| [examples/review-package.json](examples/review-package.json) | Synthetic USD retail returns example with evidence references |
| [examples/endorsement-envelope.json](examples/endorsement-envelope.json) | Detached manifest digest; deliberately unsigned |
| [experiment-policy.json](experiment-policy.json) | Example limits for your controller to enforce |
| [program.md](program.md) | Task template for your coding agent |
| [validate-example.py](validate-example.py) | Local schema, reference and file-integrity validation |

## Try the example locally

With Python 3.10+ and the dependencies in `requirements-validation.txt` installed, run from this directory:

```sh
python3 -m pip install -r requirements-validation.txt
python3 validate-example.py
```

The script checks the sample's structure, references and file hashes. The synthetic fixture is unsigned; use it for local format validation. For live reviews, your importer also checks endorsement, permissions and status through the supplied IXO verification mechanism.

The fixture contains no real specialist, credential, consent, agent release or customer data. Its permitted use is local fixture validation. A real integration uses the supplied IXO verification mechanism and the permissions attached to the actual review.

Adapt the policy and coding-agent task to your own runner. Your controller enforces the configured limits. Begin with one failing case and one measured correction before enabling automatic search.
